I was born in 1971 and grew up in the small town Narvik in the north of Norway.
As a child I was creative and imaginative, either drawing, sewing, wandering in the woods or spending endless hours at the local library.
When I was in the fourth grade my drawing was selected to be on the official school sweater, it was my first published work.
I grew up and after a short detour to economic college (what was I thinking?!) I settled for a more creative career path. Since then I have spent all of my adult life working in various creative fields such as graphic design, web design, illustration and printmaking.
I currently live and work in Gamle Fredrikstad (NO) where I focus on printmaking and illustration.
My linocut prints are all handmade originals, carved and printed by me personally. I use a Polymeetal printing press, Graphics printing ink and professional grade printing paper and aquarelle colors. My prints are available for purchase at Etsy.
I find my greatest inspiration in nature - both the outer nature that sustains us and the inner nature that shapes us.
I create by listening inwards, by just being still and void of thought I find that images and ideas flow to me naturally and all I have to do is capture them gently and allow them to unfold.
I print the entire edition in one go and each print is numbered, titled, signed and dated. The prints are sold in the order they are printed - this means that you will always get the lowest edition number I currently have available.
I also create Royalty Free vector Illustrations available for purchase at IstockPhoto.
All my illustrations originate from handmade drawings that are scanned and digitally colored. I prefer this way of working as I find it gives more spontaneity and feeling to the finished work.
I am sorry but I no longer do any type of commissioned design or illustration work.
